SCSCUBA NEWS

www.sprucecreekscuba.com November,2005

a great trip. So much so that Charlie and Mary are making plans to go. Spaces are going fast so stop by the SCS and make your reservation today.

SCS BULLETIN BOARD

SCS has decided to try a message board for the SCS family. Thanks to our resident Geek, "Bob" for setting up the forum. This is a place to look for dive buddies, post visibility and dive reports, show you favorite underwater photo, recommend dive charters, dive sites as well as get info on upcoming trips. Although not censored we will not tolerate vulgar language, obscene photos or anything considered offensive or inappropriate. I encourage everyone to register at www.sprucecreekscuba.com/phpBB2/ and add an avatar image to your signature. Have fun, ask questions and communicate. As long as the forum proves useful we will continue. So now is the time to take a giant stride in and become a member.

LAST PAPER NEWSLETTER

Due the high expense associated with printing and distribution of 2000 copies of our SCSCUBA News, we have decided to go strictly electronic on all future newsletters. If you wish to receive notification of our Online Newsletter and Special Events, please email me with your email address and we will add you to our electronic database.

SANTA COMES TO SCS

Santa Claus is once again coming to meet his friends at SCS on Saturday December 17, 2005. Last year Santa was greeted by hundreds of kids of all ages upon his arrival in the Kringle

Copter. Keep checking with us on what Santa Claus is going to be up to this year. We are not sure if he will fly in on his Kringle Copter or arrive by a more traditional means at Westport Square Shopping Center. It all hinges on his busy schedule. Santa's Lovely Helpers and Grumpy Elves will again be helping Santa. So bring out the kids and have their photograph taken with the jolly old fellow as they whisper to him their Christmas wishes. Hopefully again this year Mama Ruth will be cooking home-made country ham biscuits for Santa and all his friends to enjoy.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

SCS continues to be the P r emi e r Te c h n i c a l Training Center for Central Florida. We start with Basic Nitrox and take you all the way to Advanced Trimix. If overhead environment is your ticket then we can take you from Cavern Diver to Full Cave. Technical training makes you a better recreational diver by teaching you proper dive planning, contingency planning, technique and discipline. You to can become a member of the Over 300 Club

NEW DIVE MASTERS

Congratulations go out to our new crop of Dive Control Specialists. Chris Mohan, Dennis Kwok, Adam Chilson and Nolan Glore completed this comprehensive dive leader course with flying colors. They are an added asset to our SCS family. You can also become a Dive Control Specialist here at Spruce Creek Scuba. DCS is the first step in the dive leader program.
